Adopt-A-Highway: Sponsors Renew Their Support

Danny Clapp Landscaping, Salvation Army renew for two more years.

Two local sponsors of the Clarkstown Adopt-A-Road program have renewed their support for the program.

Danny Clapp Landscaping of 59 Schriever Lanew, New City, has renewed its "adoption" of a 1.57-mile stretch of Brewery Road in New City from Congers Road to Strawtown Road.

The Salvation Army, with regional offices at 440 West Clarkstown Road, West Nyack, has renewed its adoption of a .46-mile stretch of West Nyack Road from the Salvation Army's offices to Route 304.

Participants in the Adopt-A-Road program volunteer to remove trash from local roadways, saving the town the cost of such clean up efforts. Participants work in conjunction with the Clarkstown Highway Department.

The Clarkstown Town Board has approved the renewals for the Salvation Army and Danny Clapp Landscaping.
