The Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference today named Meghan King, a New City resident, the Volleyball Player of the Week. The College of New Rochelle (CNR) sophomore outside hitter is a graduate of Clarkstown North High School.
King posted an impressive week for CNR, including a double-double with team-highs of 18 digs and 11 kills in the Blue Angels’ dramatic, five-set, win over Brooklyn College on the road on September 6. On Saturday September 8 against Mt. St. Mary College, King recorded an outstanding .556 hitting percentage while leading the team in kills. For the week, King led the team with 18 kills.
CNR returns to action Thursday, September 13, traveling to Purchase College to take on the Panthers in a match that is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
