Overnight several inches of snow fell in Clarkstown and the surrounding area. It created a pristine scene rarely experienced this winter. Most schools had two hour opening delays while snowplows and sanders continued to make their rounds to clear the streets. The snowfall slowed the morning commute.
If you like snow, enjoy it now. The National Weather Service forecasts it will turn to slush with rising temperatures this afternoon.
