A day after a Clarkstown 911 operator helped a New City mom and her 7-year-old daughter revive a 1-year-old boy who had fallen into the family pool, a lifeguard in Nanuet used CPR to revive a 5-year-old child at a pool, according to Clarkstown police.
Police said they received a medical emergency call at about 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at 100 Avalon Gardens in Nanuet, where someone had reported a possible drowning. When police arrived at the complex's pool, they found that the child involved had regained consciousness.
The lifeguard at the pool there told police the boy's father saw his son floating in the pool and jumped in to get him out. The lifeguard told police he had found the child was not breathing and had a faint pulse.
