Rockland Independent Living Center Hot Stove Event was a crowd pleaser.

Rockland - Rockland Independent Living Center (RILC) hosted a memorable Hot Stove baseball themed fundraiser on Monday, May 23. Featured guests included former Yankee Catcher and Member of the 1996 and 1999 World Series teams Jim Leyritz, former Mets First Baseman Ed Kranepool and AP Sports Writer, author of Total Mets and Rockland County native, David Ferry. Also on hand were Rockland County Executive Ed Day, Clarkstown Town Supervisor George Hoehmann and Town Councilman Frank Borelli.

The event was sponsored by Austin’s Ale House in New City where the event was held, and photographer Phil Costa who took photos all evening, and KLS Transportation who provided the limousine service for Ed Kranepool to the event. Leyritz, Kranepool and Ferry shared stories from great games and fielded questions from attendees. Four rare copies of Total Mets were signed and auctioned off for several hundred dollars each.
