Boil Water Order Lifted For New City

Customers in Calvary Drive Units 1 through 24 and at 780 North Main Street no longer have to boil water for drinking and cooking uses.

The boil water order issued on Saturday, Dec. 29 for Calvary Drive Units 1 through 24 and 780 North Main Street was lifted Wednesday afternoon.  It is no longer necessary for customers in this area to boil their water for drinking or cooking. About 300 customers were under the boil water directive for the past few days.

Customers were ordered to boil water as a precautionary measure while United Water emergency crews restored water service and water quality tests were performed following a water main break. Lab results on Wednesday indicated the water meets all safe drinking water standards.
