Carlucci Meets With Haitian-American Caucus

Talks about condition of state government.

Clarkstown Town Clerk David Carlucci, a Democratic candidate for state Senate, met with members of the Haitian American Caucus at the National Haitian-American Convention Saturday in Tarrytown.

Carlucci addressed his work in government and concerns about the state of New York's government. Carlucci spoke about his vision for New York, regarding job creation and government efficiency.  

The Haitian American Caucus is a movement to improve the lives of Haitian-American's by promoting political, educational and moral values.

Carlucci, a New City Democrat, is seeking the Democratic Party's nomination to run for the seat currently held by state Sen. Thomas Morahan, R-New City, who is not seeking re-election. The seat represents Rockland County and part of Orange County.

Rockland County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef, a Republican, and county Legislature Ed Day, a New City Repulican, are both seeking the GOP nomination to be Morahan's replacement.
