David Carlucci's campaign for state Senate is hosting a <a href="http://dlcc.wiredforchange.com/dia/track.jsp?v=2&amp;c=syTN3WuhZdV15rhJuFsKF30oclWCFHtD" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Grand Opening/Volunteer Thank You Party</a> at its new campaign headquarters on Thursday. The party is set for 6 - 9 p.m. at 3 E. Evergreen St., New City. "We have been accomplishing some pretty amazing things in this campaign including breaking the district record by collecting more signatures than any other campaign ever has," says Al Benninghoff, Carlucci's campaign manager. "Now that the petitioning has ended, we are raising money, gaining support and getting the word out." Carlucci, a New City Democrat, is Clarkstown's town clerk. He is running for the seat of late state Sen. Thomas Morahan, R-New City, who represented all of Rockland County and part of Orange County. County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef is running for the seat as a Republican.
