Clarkstown Central Schools Budget Proposes Increase

The school district proposes a budget-to-budget change of 2.13 percent.

Clarkstown Central Schools District officials will present their 2016-17 budget plan to voters on May 17.

  • Proposed Budget Total for 2016-17: $195, 518,048
  • Budget to Budget Change: + 2.13 percent
  • District-wide tax levy change: 0.12 percent

The spending plan is equal to the allowed New York State Property Tax Cap.

The budget includes the following additions and improvements:

  • Two-way radios for buses
  • Bus replacements
  • Auditorium seat replacement
  • Ceiling tile abatement
  • Special education contingency added
  • Carbon monoxide detectors district wide

Voting will take place between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. May 17 at Street School Community Center, Congers Community Center, Chestnut Grove Administration Center and St. Francis of Assisi Parish Hall.
