Clarkstown Police Car Involved in 3-Car Accident
Chain-reaction accident leads to arrest of driver of car that hit police cruiser.

A Clarkstown police car was hit Wednesday night in a chain-reaction accident on Middletown Road in Nanuet, where police arrested one of the drivers on a drug possession charge.
Police said the accident took place about 7 p.m. as a car coming from Buckingham Road collided with another car at Middletown Road. In the accident, the second car then collided with a Clarkstown police car.
Volunteers of the Nanuet Fire Department were called to assist at the accident scene, but police said everyone was able to get out of the three cars involved and no one was seriously injured.

While investigating the accident, police said they discovered the driver of the second car in the accident had a suspended driver's license. Police said last night they were in the process of charging the driver in connection with the accident and for possession of drugs found in the car.
