Rockland County is asking residents to roll up their sleeves and donate blood during a holiday drive on Wednesday at the Dr. Robert L. Yeager Health Center, Building A, Exhibition Hall in Pomona.
The drive starts at 8 a.m. and runs until 3:30 p.m.
"As in the past, we encourage county employees and residents, who are able to do so, to donate blood this holiday season," said County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef.
Lunch will be available to those who donate, and there will also be a collection
of food and toys for People to People of Nanuet. Anyone who donates blood will also be entered into a raffle to win gifts.
To make a blood donation appointment, contact Mary Russo at 845-364-2017 or by
e-mail at russom@co.rockland.ny.us. However, no appointment is necessary to donate.
