A Connecticut man has been indicted by a Rockland County grand jury in New City on charges of passing counterfeit $100 bills at Palisades Center mall in West Nyack.
Michael Hearst, 51, of 300 French St., Bridgeport, Conn., is accused of eight counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument and two counts of petty larceny, according to Rockland District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe.
Zugibe said Hearst was at the mall on July 9 when he bought an iPod from Target and a Coach bag for Lord and Taylor, using fake $100 bills.
