Dellwood 'Adopts' Part of Zukor Road

Dellwood Country Club is extending its "adoption" of a segment of Zukor Road in New City as part of Clarkstown's ongoing anti-litter campaign.

The Clarkstown Town Board has approved an agreement with Dellwood to extend its adoption of a 1.2-mile portion of Zukor Road from North Main Street and Old Route 204 to South Mountain Road through until May 12, 2012.

In the "Adopt a Municipal Park, Shoreline or Roadway" program, businesses and organizations agree to coordinate efforts with the town Highway Department to remove trash. Organizaions either cover the costs of litter removal or arrange for volunteers to pick up litter.
