A 21-year-old Yorktown Heights man was charged with drunken driving after he was stopped for erratically in a in West Nyack, according to the .

Nicholas A. Falcone was stopped by a sheriff's officer at 7:30 a.m. Friday after he was spotted making an unsafe lane change and speeding in the posted work zone, police said.

A sheriff's officer reported that Falcone appeared intoxicated when he was questioned. Falcone was taken to the Sheriff's Headquarters in New City and was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. He was also cited for the traffic violations.

Falcone was released pending a Sept. 17 hearing in Clarkstown Town Court in New City.
