A free eye screening program for children between the ages of two and five years old will be offered on October 8. The program, co-sponsored by Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Orange) and the Lions Club of North Rockland helps identify children with amblyopia and is conducted in partnership with the Ira G. Ross Eye Institute.
Specialty trained Lions Club volunteers will conduct as simple photo vision screening for children whose parents have registered for the quick, noninvasive test. Results will then be read and evaluated by professionals at the Ira G. Ross Eye Institute.
Pre-registration is required.
