The County of Rockland STOP-DWI Office says that law enforcement officers in the county will be participating in a
special enforcement effort to crackdown on drunk driving this Fourth of July holiday.
Efforts in Rockland County will be part of a statewide STOP-DWI Crackdown Campaign, which will start on June 29th and run through July 5th. This period is historically the deadliest holiday period of the year for impaired driving. The New York State Police, County Sheriffs,
and municipal law enforcement agencies across the state will be out in force in an effort to reduce the number of alcohol related injuries and deaths.
The STOP-DWI Crackdown is one of a series of statewide enforcement initiatives promoted by the New York State STOP-DWI Association.
