Janis Castaldi, the Republican candidate for the 38th State Senate District, and BEST4NY, a citizens advocacy group, will call upon Governor Cuomo and the NYS Legislature to provide meaningful mandate relief and sign BEST4NY's internet petition, "NYS MANDATE RELIEF NOW" .
U.S. Congressional candidate Joe Carvin, presently the Town of Rye supervisor, who signed the petition last May will introduce Castaldi. She is a former Ossining deputy mayor and village trustee.
Castaldi said, "I am proud to stand beside grassroots groups like Best4NY on this important issue of mandate relief. Taxpayers have had enough empty promises from their representatives. We need to make some difficult choices in order to put New York back on solid fiscal footing, and I promise that I will always have the courage and conviction to do just that."
