United Hospice's 25th Anniversary Gala “Dancing With Our Stars”

United Hospice of Rockland's (UHR) 25th Anniversary Gala, “Dancing With Our Stars,” will be held Sunday, October 14, 2012, at the Colonial Inn in Norwood, New Jersey. The event will honor Dr. Edward and Raselle Fisher for their dedication and support of UHR and the community.

Attendees will enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at 5:00 PM, dinner and dancing at 6:00 PM and be feted by the Tony T Orchestra. Special entertainment will feature “Dancing with Our Stars.”  Professional dancers from Rockland dance studios will partner with Rockland's stars:

This year's dancers include: Stephen H. Grant of Thiells (dancing with Maria Stepanova), Robyn Haber of New City (dancing with Cowado Jasmine), Karen Hymowitz of New City (dancing with Victor Gagliardi), Felicity “Flick” Marinello of Nyack (dancing with Igor Sharapanyuk), and Paul Seid of New City (dancing with Karen Evora). Professional judges and attendees will cast their votes to determine the winning couple.  

Votes for dancers will also be on sale in advance of the Gala. Purchase one vote for $10 and 3 votes for $25. Send a check made out to United Hospice of Rockland and in the memo write “Votes” and the dancer's name.  Or send in or call with a credit card number to vote. UHR special events coordinator Laurie Meltzer Bandremer said that there is an enthusiastic campaign among the dancers and their fans to become the winning couple.

Raffle tickets for a vacation package in Seabrook Island, South Carolina and a flat screen television will not be sold at the event and must be purchased in advance.
