Free Breast Cancer Screenings Help Uninsured Women in Rockland
Nyack Hospital program supported by Greater NYC Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the Cancer Services Program of Rockland County.

Rocklanders who need a routine mammography and clinical breast exam, but cannot afford them, can get help through Nyack Hospital.
Nyack Hospital is hosing a free Breast Cancer Screening Program on Saturday, Oct. 2 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at The Breast Center at Nyack Hospital.
The screening is open to women 40 to 64 who are uninsured or underinsured. The free program is partially funded by a grant from the Greater New York City Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the Cancer Services Program of Rockland County.

Women can register for an appointment by calling 845-369-0742 extension 1. However, walk-ins are also welcome, according to the hospital.

Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer, and in 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The Greater New York City Affiliate is part of the world's largest grassroots network fighting breast cancer.
Through events like the Komen New York City Race for the Cure, the Greater New York City Affiliate has invested more than $50 million in national peer-reviewed research and community breast cancer programs in the five boroughs of New York City, on Long Island, and in Westchester and Rockland Counties.
The Cancer Services Program of Rockland County provides access to breast, cervical and colon cancer screenings for resident men and women in Rockland County who are uninsured or underinsured.
