Good Samaritan Bitten By Pet Owner As He Tried To Break Up Fight At Dog Run
Incident at Kennedy-Dells Park in New City under investigation.

A good Samaritan who tried to break up a fight between two dog owners at Kennedy-Dells Park in New City was bitten by one of the men involved with the altercation, according to the Rockland Sheriff's Department.
Captain William Barbera said the person who tried to break up the fight had to be taken to Nyack Hospital for treatment following the incident about 7 p.m. Sunday at the dog run at Kennedy-Dells, which is a county park at 355 North Main St., adjacent to Clarkstown's Zukor Park.
Barbera said a preliminary investigation found there was a dispute between two dog owners who had their dogs at the park. He was uncertain exactly what sparked the fight other than a problem with their dogs playing together in the park.
