Home Sweet Home: Zoning Board Hears Requests from Homeowners

Zoning variances sought for additions, carport.

The Clarkstown Zoning Board of Appeals is set to review three requests from local homeowners at its Aug. 9 session at Clarkstown Town Hall, 10 Maple Ave., New City.

In New City, the board members are set to consider at their 8 p.m. session a request by Ernest and Laurette Green, 10 Shore Road, for a variance of local zoning to allow the placement of a carport on their property. 

The board is considering a request by Thomas and Kathleen O'Grady, 222 S. Conger Ave., Congers, for a variance of local zoning to allow an addition and to legalize existing rear additions on their property.

In Central Nyack, the board is set to hear a request from Josephine Hewitt, 3 Vine St., for a variance from local zoning regulations to construct an addition on her property.
