Money was meant for purchase of a truck.
A Haverstraw man has been indicted by a Rockland County grand jury on charges that he stole $21,000 from his employer in New City.
Christopher Taylor, 35, of 72 Maple Ave., Haverstraw is charged with third-degree grand larceny in connection with a theft on July 31, 2009, according to District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe. Taylor, according to the indictment, was given the money by his employer as payment for a truck he was supposed to pick up in Pennsylvania.
Zugibe said Taylor did not pick up the truck, and kept the money.
