Man Admits Stealing Wallet, Going on Spending Spree
Stolen credit card used to buy more than $2,000 worth of items at Palisades Center.
A Greenwood Lake man has pleaded guilty to stealing a wallet from the locker room of a sports club in West Nyack and using stolen credit cards to purchase more than $2,000 worth of items at the Palisades Center mall.
Vincent Ferreri, 26, of 698 Jersey Ave., Greenwood Lake, pleaded guilty on Wednesday to Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree.
District Attorney, Thomas P. Zugibe said that on Dec. 2, 2009,
Ferreri purchased a day pass at the New York Sports Club located in the
Palisades Center mall. Ferreri entered the locker room, stole a wallet
from a locker and then exited the sports club.
Ferreri bought various items, which totaled $2,140.27, at numerous stores in the mall using the credit cards from the victim's wallet.
Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 15, before County Court Judge Charles
Apotheker.
