Man Gets 5 Years in Prison for Sex Abuse of Child
Also faces 10 years of post-prison supervision.
A 26-year-old Nanuet man has been setenced to five years in state prison for sexual abuse of a child.
Daniel Lopez-Vasquez was sentenced Tuesday before New York State Acting Supreme Court Justice William K. Nelson at the Rockland County Courthouse in New City. In addition to the prison term, Nelson sentenced Lopez-Vasquez to 10 years post release supervision.
Lopez-Vasquez pleaded guilty to sexual abuse in the first degree.

District Attorney, Thomas P. Zugibe said that on Dec. 12, 2009, Lopez-Vasquez
was found by the child's mother, in bed with his pants unzipped and the 5-year-old child's underwear pulled down. The Lopez-Vasquez was known to the victim.
