'Mexzzarella' Drug Bust Gets Rockland Assist
"This drug trafficking organization was cooking up more than pizza in the Bronx," said DEA Special Agent in Charge Frank Tarentino.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — Agents and officers from the DEA, NYPD, New York State Police and the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office recovered more than 100 pounds of suspected cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl, heroin, and oxycodone from a pizzeria in the Bronx last week.
The drugs seized at Mexzzarella Pizza carried an estimated street value of $4 million.
"This drug trafficking organization was cooking up more than pizza in the Bronx," said DEA Special Agent in Charge Frank Tarentino. "The large stash of cocaine found in the basement of Mexzzarella Pizza is very significant because it had the potential to supply drug networks throughout the Northeast."
