Monsey Resident Arrested For Criminal Trespass & Criminal Possession Of Weapon

Police found 51-year-old Michael Russo in a restricted area of the Valley Cottage Rite Aid

 

Clarkstown Police arrested Michael Russo, 51, of Monsey at 3:15 p.m. Thursday after he was found in the employee only area of the Rite Aid on Route 303 in Valley Cottage. Sgt. Joe Donnery reported that during the arrest Russo was found to be in possession of a gravity knife. During his arraignment in Clarkstown Justice Court on Friday morning Russo was found in contempt of court. 

He was sentenced to 10 days in the Rockland County Jail on the contempt of court charge. Russo is due to return to town court on the charges of criminal trespass first degree, a felony, and criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor, on Wednesday, Jan. 2.
