UPDATE: Nanuet Hit By More Residential Burglaries
Clarkstown Police report a rash of residential burglaries in the area of Spring Brook and North Pascack roads in Nanuet since early April

The Clarkstown Police Department reported a rash of residential burglaries in the area of Spring Brook and North Pascack Roads in Nanuet since early April. Police said on Friday that approxmately six burglaries have occurred during daytime hours possibly between late morning and noon. The break-ins have taken place through an unlocked door in the rear of the house or by forcing the door open.
Sgt. Jo Anne Fratianni said small electronic items, cash and jewelry have been taken.

Make sure all windows and doors are locked and secured. All exterior doors should be solid and have a double dead bolt locking feature. Trim hedges or brush that will obstruct the view of entry points. Activate burglar alarms before exiting. Hide valuables including cash and jewelry.
The police urge residents to pay more attention to their surroundings and immediately report any suspicious vehicles and or persons.Another reminder from the department is if you are a victim of a burglary report the incident immediately to the police department, do not touch or disturb anything and wait outside for the police to arrive.
This is the second series of residential burglaries in Nanuet this year. A suspect was arrested in a string of break-ins in March.
