New Bus Option For Commuters
Express bus service starting from Palisades Center to midtown on Monday, January 7
Red & Tan Bus Lines expands its midtown Manhattan express bus service with a new stop in West Nyack on Monday, January 7. Route 49J buses will leave seven times during the morning rush from the commuter parking lot at the Palisades Center with six returning trips in the afternoon and evening. The buses also operate from Nanuet and New City commuter lots.
The express buses will depart from the mall’s commuter lot between 5:59 a.m. and 8:12 a.m. and return between 4:20 p.m. and 7:20 p.m. A 40-trip discounted ticket book valid for just the Palisades Center lot costs $300. It is valid for a 40-day period and up to 10 tickets can be returned for credit or refund.

In midtown, the express bus route goes along 40th Street and 6th Avenue with stops at 41st, 44th and 51st streets. It travels up to 57th and 5th and goes down 5th Avenue stopping at 55th, 51st, 48th and 42nd streets.
Ticket books can be ordered online, by phone, mail or at the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Parking permits are not required at the 900-space commuter lot. For further details about the service, check here.
