UPDATE: New City Library Board Welcomes New Trustees (Meeting Postponed)
Annual meeting closes out 2012 followed by regular board meeting to begin the New Year

Editor's Note: Tonight's Library board meetings have been postponed. A date for rescheduling them has not been provided.
The New City Library Board of Trustees holds back-to-back meetings on Thursday evening to conclude old business and begin the New Year. The annual meeting begins at 7:30 p.m.p.m.
During the annual meeting newly elected Board President Tom Ninan will speak about his goal for the board, library and executive committee and appoint the 2013 committee chairs. At the December meeting when board officer elections were held Ninan won for president, Anthony Feliciano was selected as vice president, Joseph Reiter was elected secretary, and Matthew Mulrooney was chosen as treasurer.

Also during the annual meeting, reports will be presented from the library director and treasurer. As chair of the New Director Search Committee Ninan will update the board on the status of selecting a permanent director to fill the position vacant since May.
Once the annual meeting ends, there will be a 15-minute break before the regular meeting begins. The regular meeting’s agenda includes the treasurer’s report and 2012 annual audit. The new board members George Jacobson and Victor Berger will be seated along with returning trustee Edward Kallen. Berger and Jacobson take the seats currently held by Christian Cortelli, who sought re-election, and Terri Thal, who did not run. Board members will appoint an attorney and auditor.
