New City Man Indicted Over Fight With the Mother of his Child

Charges include endangering the welfare of a child.

A 29-year-old New City man has been indicted by a Rockland County grand jury in connection with a fight he had with the mother of his child.

Rockland District Attorney Thomas Zugibe said Spencer Laurore was indicted July 14  on charges of of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Mischief in the 4th Degree and Endangering the Welfare of Child. Zugibe said that on Feb. 22, 2010 at about 9:10 a.m. Laurore was involved in an altercation with the mother of his child. Laurore is accused of ripping the door handles off of the Jeep Laredo the victim was in with their 5 year old child.

Pedestrians observed the altercation and notified a Sheriff's patrol officer who was in the vicinity, who arrested Laurore.
