Nyack Hospital Offers Mini-Medical School
Program gives insight on latest medical issues, advances, techniques.

Nyack Hospital's Continuing Medical Education Committee hosts another series of its popular Mini-Medical School during September and October.
This series is designed for anyone looking to learn more about the latest advances in medicine or young people and students thinking about medical careers. Each lecture is presented by a member of Nyack Hospital's team, and a question and answer session follows.

- Sept. 13 – "Introduction to Energy Medicine" presented by Robin Laufer, MS, Ed, RYT 500
- Sept. 20 – "Cataract Surgery" presented by John Chang, MD
- Sept. 27 – "Pre-Diabetes and Diabetes" presented by Linda Suarez, MS, RN, CDE
- Oct. 4 – "Heel Pain" presented by Jaime Garber, DPM
- Oct. 11 – "Update on Osteoporosis" presented by Oliver Kurucz, MD
- Oct. 18 – "Drug Interactions with Herbal Medicine" presented by Joseph Pinto, MS, RPh; Andras Farkas, PharmD; and Reena Tejura, PharmD.
Lectures are from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at Nyack Hospital. A one-time registration fee of $10 will allow anyone interested to attend all six lectures or just the ones of interest.
