Nyack Man, New City Woman Hit With Drug Charges on Route 59

Early-morning incident leads to arrests.

A Nyack man and a New City woman were charged with drug possession after an early-morning incident Saturday on Route 59 in Clarkstown, according to State Police.

Alexander Scudder, 31, of Nyack, and Renee D. Pring, 26, of New City, were being held for a court hearing after their arrest at 4:40 a.m. Saturday.

Scudder is accused of fourth-degree criminal possession of narcotic drugs, a felony, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.

Pring is accused of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
