Police Blotter: 2 Charged in Thefts at Department Stores

Employee accused in theft at Sears, NYC man accused in JC Penny theft.

Two men have been accused of petty larceny in connection with separate thefts at stores in West Nyack and Nanuet, according to Clarkstown police.

Police said Nicholas Satterfield, 24, of New City, an employee at the Sears department store at the Nanuet Mall, was charged at 1 p.m. on Sunday with taking $98 from the store by putting through a fake return for items he purchased at the store. Satterfield was released pending a hearing in Clarkstown Town Court in New City on March 1.

Police also said that Ramone A. Felix, 43, of Manhattan is accused of taking two pairs of jeans worth $115 from the JC Penny department store at Palisades Center mall on Friday. Felix was released pending a Town Court hearing on Feb. 21.
