Police Continue To Investigate School Burglary
Investigators trying to determine if man, woman arrested had helpers.
Kevin Maher, 27, of New City, and Sara Martin, 21, of Valley Cottage were being held in the Rockland County Correctional Center in New City on $25,000 bail each Wednesday after their arrest in connection with the Memorial Day burglary at Valley Cottage Elementary School, according to Clarkstown police.
Police said investigators are still trying to determine if Maher and Martin had anyone else helping them in connection with the incident Monday at the school on Lake Road in Valley Cottage.
Police said officers were sent to the school, part of the Nyack Public Schools system, about 5:35 p.m. Monday when an alarm was activiated. Clarkstown officers saw someone in the school, which was closed for the holiday, and then spotted Maher and Martin coming from the building, police said

Inside the school, police said they found a broken window and computers stack pile of computers. Additionally, police said they discovered musical instruments that had been placed near a school exit.
Maher and Martin were arraigned by Clarktown Town Judge Howard Gerber on charges including burglary, grand larceny, criminal mischief and criminal trespassing. Maher and Martin face a hearing today in Town Court in New City.
