Two Bronx men are being held in the Rockland County Correctional Center in  New City after their arrest in connection with the theft and attempted theft of more than $5,000 worth of tools from Home Depot in West Nyack, Clarkstown police said Friday. Police said the men are both accused of stealing $2,800 in tools and electrical components from the store at Palisades Center by putting them in back packs. Additionally, police said the men are accused of setting up another $2,400 worth of merchandise to be taken. Police said Reynaldo Villegas, 36, and Elijah Brown, 27, both of the Bronx, were stopped at Home Depot at about 12:24 p.m. on Thursday and were then charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property. Brown was also accused of illegal possession of marijuana, a violation. The men were arraigned in Clarkstown Town Court in New City and ordered held in the county jail pending a court hearing.
