Rail Cutbacks Set to Take Effect on Pascack Valley Line
Changes come to early-morning service effective on Sunday.
On Sunday, June 20, new schedules for the Pascack Valley Line trains will reflect service changes brought through budget cuts, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
In making these decisions, Metro-North says it tried to affect the fewest number of customers and minimize negative effects.
The following train service changes will take place on the Pascack Valley Line:

- On weekday mornings the 4:56 am train from Spring Valley is discontinued;
- The 6:55 pm from Hoboken (6:47 PM from Penn Station-NY) is discontinued;
- The 5:29 am from Spring Valley will depart 10 minutes earlier at 5:19 am.
• The 6:32 pm from Hoboken (6:23 pm from Penn Station-NY) now departs 11 minutes later at 6:43 pm (6:36 pm from Penn Station-NY).
There are no changes on the Port Jervis Line.

New timetables are available in Hoboken Terminal, Secaucus, and Penn Station-NY, and at www.njtransit.com and on our schedules page on the MTA website at www.mta.info.
The MTA provides service in Rockland on the Pascack Valley Line - with stops in Pearl River, Nanuet and Spring Valley - and the Bergen Main/Port Jervis Line in Suffern through a contract with NJ Transit.
