Rain Forces Oranganizers to Cancel Show at High Tor

Rain scraps second performance of Maxwell Anderson's "High Tor."

The West Branch Conservation Association's second evening in its production of "High Tor," Maxwell Anderson's prize-winning play, at High Tor State Park in New City today has been cancelled because of weather conditions.

Organizers say there will not be a rain date for the outdoor performance.

"High Tor" was named the best American play of the 1936-1937 season. This staged reading production included songs that Maxwell Anderson and Arthur Schwartz wrote for a 1956 television version. About 150 people attended the production Saturday at High Tor.
