Regatta Boat Visits School Board

Student made boat of cardboard and duct tape for Clarkstown Cup brought into board meeting for display

The second annual Clarkstown Cup featured its first boat regatta this year and one of the teams decided to share their creation with the school board.  The group of Clarkstown North High School students brought their craft constructed from duct tape and cardboard to Tuesday’s meeting.

The crew of Arts International Baccalaureate students worked with their teacher Erin McNally on the boat which turned out to be the second fastest.  Board member Robert Carlucci, who is one of the founders of the Clarkstown Central Athletic Foundation, which organized the event, said next year they hope to open the regatta up to all ages.  It was limited to high school students this year.
