Clarkstown police are seeking the public's help in identifying that man who robbed a Route 59 gas station at gunpoint on Tuesday. Photos from a security camera at the CITGO gas station at 158 Route 59 show the bandit inside the store at the gas station, carrying what looks like a silver handgun. The thief went to the store at about about 12:35 a.m. Tuesday and took about $800 cash and a box of Dutch Masters cigars after threatening the attendant. Police said this is the third time this gas station has been robbed. The suspect was described as approximately 5-foot-9 inches tall, with black hair, wearing a white t-shirt, gray shorts with a black bandana partially covering his face. The man was described as either white or Hispanic. Police note that the suspect has a tattoo on his right forearm. Police ask that anyone with information on this incident contact the Clarkstown  Detective Bureau at 845-639-5840.
