District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe said, “The defendant forced himself on and in her and restrained the victim by confining her to a room while under circumstances which exposed her to risk of serious physical injury and covered her face with a pillow thereby blocking her nose and mouth.”
The defendant was indicted Wednesday on two counts of Rape 1st degree, Criminal Sexual Act 1st Degree, Aggravated Sexual Abuse 1st Degree, two counts of Assault 2nd Degree, Unlawful Imprisonment 1st Degree, Assault 3rd Degree and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation. Zugibe said the Special Victim’s Unit will prosecute the case.
