Volunteers Donate $40,000 to Hospital
Nyack Hospital Auxiliary members raise funds through gift shop, thrift shop, special events
At the 110th Annual Silver Tea, the Nyack Hospital Auxiliary presented Nyack Hospital President David Freed with a donation of $40,000.
Proceeds were raised between January and May by the efforts of the auxiliary members through the Hospital Gift Shop, Thrift Shop, membership dues, and other events. Freed accepted the check on behalf of Nyack Hospital and thanked the auxiliary members for their hard work and dedication.
Auxiliary President Brigitte Simon also recognized and thanked the more than 60 volunteer auxiliary members who attended the tea, especially those from The Gift Shop, the Thrift Shop and the Production Committee.

At the tea, Denise Roma, RD, CDE, Community Health Educator at Nyack Hospital, presented an overview of the many services offered by the Patient and Community Education Department at Nyack Hospital highlighting the Lose to Win Program, diabetes and stroke awareness programs and many others.
The Auxiliary is looking for motivated and energetic volunteers who can bring new ideas and excitement to fundraising efforts for Nyack Hospital. Community connections, career skills and unique backgrounds can be a great asset to The Auxiliary, as well as to the community Nyack Hospital serves.
