The Hudson Valley Leisure Services Association, celebrating its 35th anniversary, honored parks and recreation professionals and students at a luncheon on Wednesday, May 26.  The HVLSA is the professional association for the parks, recreation, leisure and therapeutic recreation fields serving the counties of Rockland, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Sullivan and Ulster counties.  Award winners from Rockland County are: Elaine Apfelbaum – Town of Clarkstown Recreation &amp; Parks, who received a professional service award for 30 years of service. Connor Callanan – North Rockland High School scholarship recipient. Dan Covert – Town of Ramapo Recreation &amp; Parks, who received who received a professional service award for 30 years of service.
