Woodglen Fifth-Graders Graduate From DARE
Students learn how to cope with peer pressure, drugs, alcohol, tobacco.
Woodglen Elementary School fifth-graders graduated from the DARE anti-substance abuse program Tuesday, and were cheered on by the parents and teachers.
Stuents at several DARE programs run through the Clarkstown Police Department graduate this week, including at Lakewood Elementary School today. DARE, which includes a police officer working in the classroom with students, helps students understand how to cope with peer pressure and how to make good choices in life.
