Zebrowski won't run for state Senate
Wants to continue his work in Assembly; expects he'll endorse Carlucci for Senate.

Assemblyman Kenneth Zebrowski, D-New City, said this afternoon he will not run for the state Senate seat now held by Sen. Thomas Morahan.
"After much thought I will not be running for State Senate in the 38th District," said Zebrowski. "I would like to thank everyone for their encouragement and support over the past several weeks and their overall faith in me as an elected official. Although it was enticing to bring my common sense, reform agenda to the Senate, I believe my work in the Assembly is not yet complete."
Zebrowski said he believes he can best serve his constituents by staying in the Assembly and helping the new governor. When asked who he would support as the Democratic candidate for state Senate, Zebrowski said he expects he will be endorsing Clarkstown Town Clerk David Carlucci, a New City Democrat who is seeking the Democratic nod for the job.
