Man In Critical Condition After Hit-And-Run On Long Island: Cops
The 48-year-old was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries, police say.
ELMONT, NY — A man was struck in a hit-and-run while crossing Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont early Sunday morning, Nassau police said.
The 48-year-old was struck by a sedan while crossing the intersection at Elmont Road at around 4:40 a.m., and the car left the scene westbound on turnpike, according to police.
The man was taken to a local hospital where he is in critical condition, police said.
