New Hyde Park 12U Bluedevils Honored as Fall Baseball League Champions

Blue Devils finished with 13-1 record in National Junior Baseball League's (NJBL) 12U National Division

The North Hempstead Town Board recently honored the New Hyde Park 12 and under Blue Devile baseball team prior to the Nov. 19 board meeting at Town Hall.

The New Hyde Park Blue Devils finished with a 13-1 record in the National Junior Baseball League’s (NJBL) 12U National Division, taking home first place honors.  The entire team was on hand to be awarded with certificates as well as their coaches Marlon Artigas, Phil Munoz, Dennis Rowinski and Peter Yip.

“Each game it was someone else,” Coach Artigas said of the great season. “It was all about teamwork.”

Councilman Angelo Ferrara, whose Council District encompasses New Hyde Park, gave a brief recap of the town’s history and told the team that they, too, are now a part of North Hempstead’s compelling story.
