New Hyde Park Crime Blotter: Stolen Handicapped Permit, Pocketbooks and Marijuana Arrest

Third Precinct police responded to the following calls November 12 – 18 in New Hyde Park.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department Third Precinct. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.


Garden City Park


Nov. 12: police arrested a person on Armstrong Road at 12:45 p.m. for alleged possession of marijuana.

Nov. 5: A handicapped parking permit was stolen on Lakeville Road in North New Hyde Park at 9 a.m.
Nov. 12:
 police arrested a person at Sears at 1400 Union Turnpike at 10:45 p.m. for alleged possession of marijuana.
Nov. 12: Catalytic converters were stolen from a car on Charles Street between 6 p.m. on Nov. 12 and 6 a.m. on Nov. 13.
Nov. 13: A mens scarf was stolen from a location on Union Turnpike at 5:10 p.m.
Nov. 16: A pocketbook with cash and credit cards was stolen from a location on New Hyde park Road at 6:40 p.m.
Nov. 16: A pocketbook was reported missing from McDonald's between 10:30 p.m. and 10:45 p.m.
Nov. 17: A wallet containing cash, credit cards and an iPhone was stolen from 1111 Marcus Ave. between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Nov. 18: Assorted food items were reported stolen from a supermarket on Hillside Avenue at 4:15 p.m.
