NEW HYDE PARK, NY — A New Hyde Park Memorial High School student has been selected to perform at the New York State School of Music Association's All-State Winter Conference in Rochester, New York, from Dec. 5 to Dec. 8.

Tuba player Izhaan Ahmed was among thousands of students who auditioned for the conference last spring at solo and ensemble festivals throughout the state.
