NEW HYDE PARK, NY — Nassau County police are offering up to $5,000 to anyone who can help identify who killed a Northwell Health employee late last month.

The fatal shooting happened in New Hyde Park around 4:10 p.m. on March 31.

Authorities say Amelia Laguerre, 33, of Queens, was shot multiple times in a publicly-accessible parking garage at 1999 Marcus Ave., which is owned by the hospital system.

According to authorities and Northwell, several team members rendered aid to the victim. She was then rushed to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The investigation is ongoing.
