Six-Week Cultural Art Workshop For Kids Kicks Off This Spring

Artist's Passport Travel the World Through Art will be held this spring at Michael J. Tully Park.

NEW HYDE PARK, NY —The Town of North Hempstead is partnering with the Crayola Imagine Arts Academy of Long Island to offer a six-week art workshop for children.

The workshop, dubbed Artist's Passport Travel the World Through Art, will be held this spring at Michael J. Tully Park.

"The classes will allow children to embark on an around-the-world cultural adventure," Town officials said in a statement. "Children can explore far-off places and learn about the people who live there, from the Americas to the Ivory Coast, from the cosmopolitan to the countryside."

Advance registration is required. Classes will be held on Saturday, March 5, 12, 19, 26, as well as April 2 and 9. They are designed for children in grades 1 through 5.
